Members Responsibilities
- Members shall be bound by and submit to the rules, regulations and bylaws of the Club.
- Members participating in a golf game or tournaments at SGCCP shall abide by the club’s rules, regulations and bylaws.
- Members shall observe the club’s golf etiquette including but not limited to the type of attire and equipment prescribed by SGCCP for the use of its golf courses, driving range, clubhouse and its other facilities (as of Article-10).
- Members shall observe all golf rules which shall include rules currently adopted by SGCCP and BGF, and the local rules adopted by the golf club where the golf game or tournament is held.
- Members participating in any activity organized by the Club or its tasked entity shall be bound by and submit to the rule and instructions prescribed for such activity.
- SGCCP shall not be liable for death, injuries, damages, losses, expenses, accidents, delays, inconveniences or irregularities arising out of or relating to participation in any golf game or tournament or other activities organised by SGCCP or its tasked entity.
- Members participating in any activity organised by SGCCP or its tasked entity are responsible for the payment of such fees and charges levied by the Club or its tasked entity. In the event of cancellation by the members such fees and charges may be refunded at the discretion of the EC.
- Members participating in any golf activity organised by the Club shall inform the Club their lowest current official handicap issued by BGF.
- Members shall communicate in writing to the Member Secretary of any change in address or addresses and other details as listed in the application form to the Club.
Procedure For Attaining Handicap
Any new member without BGF handicap shall follow the undermentioned procedure to attain handicap:
- The new member shall mandatorily attend the Course comprising 40 classes at the Driving Range under direct supervision of the trainers.
- After having sufficient lessons, a beginner has to be recommended by his trainer that he has acquired the skills, learnt the etiquettes of golf and is ready to go on the course. At this stage, he has to be referred to the handicap Committee.
- The subject member shall play 18 rounds of 9-hole (at a lean period of the day) with a trainer nominated by the Handicap Committee and submit 18 Cards to the Club.
- Subject new member, then, shall play one round of 9-hole session with one of the members of Handicap Committee. Subject to the clearance of the Handicap Committee, he/she will be allowed to play in the Golf Course.
Prohibitions
- The promotion or conduct of a private lottery in Club’s premises is not allowed.
- The introduction of materials for drug taking and persons of bad characters into the premises are prohibited.
- The funds of the Society shall not be used to pay the fines of members who have been convicted in court of law.
- The Club shall not engage in any trade union activity as defined in any written law relating to trade unions.
- The Club shall not attempt to restrict or interfere with trade or make directly or indirectly any recommendation to, any arrangement with its members which has the purpose or is likely to have the effect fixing or controlling the price or any discount, allowance or rebate relating to any goods or service which adversely affect consumer interest.
- The Club shall not indulge in any political activity or allow its funds and/or premises to be used for political purposes.
- The Club shall not hold any lottery, whether confined to its members or not, in the name of the Club or its office-bearers, Committee or members unless with the prior approval of the relevant authorities
Cessation, Suspension and Expulsion of members
Cessation, suspension and expulsion of members will be followed as per Article 12 of SGCCP Memorendom of Association. For further query contact SGCCP
